# Mac+ (macplus.pro)

> Also known as MacPlus, Mac Plus, or Mac +. Built in France by studio PENRA.

Mac+ is published by PENRA, an independent software studio based in France. It is not the Macintosh Plus, the Apple computer introduced in 1986 that is also written "Mac Plus". The site is in English (root), French, Spanish and German.

- Platform: macOS 13 Ventura or later, macOS 27 included; universal binary that runs natively on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
- Free tier: 6 scenes, 8 palettes, image background, 6 folder icons, 2 widgets, multi-display.
- Monthly Pro: EUR 1.99 per month with a 7-day free trial, cancel anytime.
- Lifetime Pro: EUR 9.99 one-time (launch offer, was EUR 12.99), no subscription. Monthly and Lifetime unlock the same features; only billing differs.
- Limits: no Lock Screen support; 15 built-in generative scenes and no video gallery; using your own video needs Pro.

What it does:

- 15 animated wallpaper scenes rendered on the GPU with Metal: Brume (Mist), Aurore (Aurora), Maille (Mesh), Flux, Plasma, Relief, Vagues (Waves), Lave (Lava), Bandes (Bands), Fumée (Smoke), Soie (Silk), Dégradé (Gradient), Bulles (Bubbles), Pluie (Rain), Neige (Snow), in 4 families: Atmosphere, Fluid, Geometry, Weather.
- 44 built-in color palettes plus a custom palette creator; every scene recolors instantly.
- Your own looping video (Pro) or an image as the desktop background.
- 52 folder-icon patterns in 24 families, mapped onto the exact macOS folder shape; import your own image; apply to many folders at once; one-click reset to Apple's default icons.
- 12 desktop widgets (clock, date, Focus, stopwatch, season, weekend and more) in 3 sizes and 4 shapes, placed anywhere on the desktop.
- Multi-display support (a wallpaper per display, or one continuous scene or video stretched across several displays), adjustable 30/60/120 FPS, auto-pause when the screen sleeps or an app covers the wallpaper; everything is controlled from the macOS menu bar.
